The 2025 edition of the Tulsa Shootout has come and gone, with a grand total of 385 drivers piloting Hyper Chassis demonstrating their skill and speed. The entire micro sprint community knew that Hyper Racing was present and competitive as ever. All in all, there were 39 different Hyper Racing entries who qualified for a feature event during the week! One driver, Steven Snyder Jr., managed the near impossible feat of qualifying for all four Micro Sprint events. Of that 39, drivers scored one Golden Driller trophy, three podium finishes, fourteen top ten runs, and two hard charger honors!
The night kicked off with the stock non-wing feature event, with the highest number of Hyper Racing drivers starting the feature with ten. Kole Kirkman , who topped the Hyper Racing winner charts in 2024 with 27 wins, was the top runner in the feature event scoring a top five run in fifth. Tommy Kunsman Jr. had a solid run from 20th to 10th, with Trevor Cline winning the Donnie Ray Crawford Hard Charger award finishing in 11th from 24th. Super DirtCar Series driver Anthony Perrego finished 12th in his Tulsa debut, with Braden Chiaramonte 15th, Braden Jones 17th, Matt Carr 19th, Austin Saunders 21st, Aiden Purdue 23rd, and Steven Snyder Jr. in 24th.
Next on the docket was the Junior Sprint feature event, where three Hyper Racing drivers qualified for the main event. Gunnar Pio led the way for Hyper Racing Drivers with a seventh to third run ending up on the podium! Ashen Glazier brought his Carber Racing entry home in 11th, with Cole Bezio finishing 19th after an accident late in the feature event.
The Golden Driller was claimed in spectacular fashion during the weekend finale's Restricted A-Class feature event, as 14-year-old
Haidyn Hansen delivered an excellent performance to secure her first-ever Tulsa Shootout victory for Hyper Racing! Joining her on the podium was F&M Performance standout Cash Lacombe, who clinched an impressive third place. Meanwhile, Pennsylvania's Chase Schott charged from 24th to 16th with a determined drive, and Shyla Earnst showed resilience despite an early flip that caused the wing on her #11 to detach late in the race, ending up 23rd.
The bad boys of the Tulsa Shootout in the Winged Outlaw class were next up on the schedule for the first time in their newly slotted position, with the main event shifting from the 55 lap finale to a 30 lap stint. Tommy Kunsman Jr. again led the way for Hyper Racing drivers with a fourth place result after challenging inside the top three early on. Steven Snyder Jr. was the next driver up inside the top ten in 6th, with Braden Chiaramonte in 8th, and Neal Allison in 10th completing the top ten of Hyper Racing drivers. Connor Gross finished in 12th from the 21st starting spot earning his own Donnie Ray Crawford Hard Charger award. Completing the field for Hyper Racing entries was Matt Carr in 15th, Tyler Lupton in 23rd, and a disappointing end for Frank Fuld in 24th after being scheduled to start from the pole.
Wing A-Class saw another large field of Hyper entries with nine, and the newest Hyper Racing dealer Cole Schroeder led the way to the checkered with a fourth place result. Braden Chiaramonte finished in 6th, Wout Hoffmans of the Netherlands driving for Johnny Boland finished in 8th, and new Hyper Racing driver Shawn Mahaffey in 10th. Joe B Miller was 11th, Zak Gorski 13th, Caden Mitchell 14th, Austin Saunders 16th, and Steven Snyder Jr. in 24th.
In what was without a doubt the race of the night, race of the year candidate, and probably one of the best races in the history of the Tulsa Shootout, was the Outlaw Non-Wing division receiving for the first time the honor of the 55-lap main event finale. Steven Snyder Jr. put on a show battling through the biggest stars of not only the micro sprint scene, but all of motorsports, passing NASCAR drivers Kyle Larson and Christopher Bell late in the race and taking off from the rest of the field. Unfortunately for Hyper Racing and Snyder Jr., contact with the outer wall and fencing resulted in a flat tire just a handful of laps from the finish taking him out of the lead and the battle for the win. Aiden Purdue ended up leading the way with a 9th place result. Youngster James Roselli was 11th, after starting 20th. Neal Allison was 12th, Steven Snyder Jr. in 16th, and Brandon Rose in 24th.
Hyper Racing had an incredibly successful Shootout, both on and off the track at the SageNet Center in Tulsa. Friendships were made, lessons were learned, and growth was realized by everyone. The outcome has left both our team at Hyper Racing and our customers eager for more, and excited to return stronger and faster for the 2026 event!
