In our data, we see 15-30 degrees drop in water temperature, and 100 degrees of oil temp drop after installing this cooler. With the stock cooler, the oil temperature will continue to increase with extended green flag lap runs, and more so on tracks where the driver is full throttle, even when the water temperature is staying constant at say 200 degrees.

Setrab FP119M22I FANPACK 19-ROW Single Fan Pack Oil Cooler is the best oil cooler system you can buy.

  • Setrab ProLine Fanpacks start with a proven Setrab ProLine oil cooler and include a fitted 12-volt fan for an all in one, easy-to-install oil cooling package.
  • Used on F-1, NASCAR, and SCCA cars!
  • 37 square inch cooling area
  • 342 cfm airflow fan
  • 19 rows

8 1/4" long (6 7/16" not including the mounting ears) x 5 3/4" tall x 4 3/8" thick

Be sure to get oil pressure before starting the engine.

  • Unplug the two-wire crank sensor so the engine doesn't try to start.
  • Turn the ignition on and make sure you have the PE3 dash setup to display the oil pressure.
  • Loosen the oil filter about 2 turns
  • Crank the engine over until oil comes out the oil filter seal.
  • Tighten the oil cooler
  • Loosen the oil cooler line that is going into the engine on the side of the oil cooler adapter, not the line going into the center of the adapter.
  • Crank the engine over again until you get oil flowing out the loose fitting.
  • Tighten the fitting
  • crank the engine again and watch the oil pressure on the PE dash, it should start to show some pressure, like 3-10 after less than 30 seconds of cranking
  • Check the oil level again, add more oil to get it to the full mark again.
  • Connect the Crank Sensor wire.
  • Start the engine while watching the oil pressure on the PE3 dash.
  • If you don't get good oil pressure within 5 seconds, shut the engine down and redo the above procedure. Oil pressure should reach 10 psi right away, then over the next 30 seconds slowly build to over 50 (as high as 120) while idling. As the engine gets hot (after a race or over 185 degrees water temp) and the oil becomes thin, the oil pressure will drop considerably.

To purchase a whole kit, you will need the:

  • (2) Setrab Oil Cooler Fittings (adapts it to -8 AN lines)
  • (4) -8 HBS Fittings (choose from straight, 90 or 45 to best fit your application, we use (3) 90's and (1) 45)
  • 3 feet of -8 HBS Line
  • (1) Setrab Temp Switch. Connect the red wire from the cooler fan to this switch, the other end of this switch to the + positive battery post. Connect the black fan wire to the - negative battery post. Put the temp switch on the hot side of the oil cooler, this is the side that has the line coming from the center fitting of the oil cooler adapter.
  • If you want to monitor Oil Pressure (recommended) get the 41-09193 fitting and the 604-568 sensor for PE3.

Remove the (2) ‘T’ connections you have in the coolant lines that had previously gone to the oil cooler. Replace with straight lines. This will greatly simplify your cooling lines.

We do not worry about draining the old oil out of the cooler and lines for each regular oil change. It only holds a small amount of oil and the oil we recommend is nowhere near break down. We recommend and use the Motul 300V oil 77-050. If you have an engine failure, then you will need to flush all oil out of the cooler and lines.
