13" Multi Point Ladder Paddle
Details
Before 2024, our cars came with the 10" length paddle. After extensive R&D, we now recommend starting with a 12" or 13" paddle. The advantage of the longer paddle is that it moves the right rear bearing carrier out several inches which increases the wheel rate (effective spring rate) and it resists roll. This greatly stabilizes the car when it hits the cushion or navigates a bump. A big advantage when racing on a track that has those characteristics.
In combination with this longer paddle, your chassis must have the 3-hole Jacob's ladder tabs (T-561 (3), T-581 (1), T-591 (4)). Use the far-left holes when using a longer paddle.
You will also need an offset right rear arm, either 40-172HD (for the 13" Paddle) or 40-171HD (for the 12" Paddle).
Generally, when using the longer paddles and racing wingless, the right rear bar can be softened 1 full size due to the increased roll stiffness.
A brake floater must be used in lieu of the right-side brake when using the longer paddles so that the right rear tire offset is correct. The offset needs to be able to achieve 15-3/4" for slick conditions.
