When the calendar turns to May it officially starts the summer swing of big money races across the United States, starting with the A-Class Clash at the US-24 Speedway in Logansport, Indiana. Once again, Hyper Racing drivers came out on top and impressed against the nation’s best competing on one track together.
As was the case with many events across the country, a valiant effort by the US-24 staff to complete Thursday night’s prelim night was lost due to weather conditions. Fortunately for Hyper Racing driver Steven Snyder Jr, this came as a bit of a blessing as the team suffered an engine failure during his heat race.
Friday night's preliminary action once again saw Steven Snyder Jr at the front of the field and scoring the victory locking himself into Saturday’s Dash and Feature event. Six other Hyper Chassis drivers found themselves in the feature event on Friday night. North Carolina’s Neal Allison finished in 7th just missing the 6th and final lock-in spot. Track regular Greyson Springer finished 9th, with young Pennsylvania sensation Gunnar Pio 13th, fellow PA driver Mason Beinhower 16th, Illinois Aiden Purdue 17th, and Indiana regular Kole Kirkman 20th.
Saturday night’s finale saw Steven Snyder Jr win the $1000 dash and the pole position for the feature event and become the lone Hyper driver to lock into Saturday’s A Main.
When all was said and done, Steven Snyder Jr completed the weekend sweep! Winning his preliminary night on Friday, Dash on Saturday, and his second $10,000 feature event win of the season on Saturday night. Hyper Racing dealer Frank Flud finished on the podium in third from 9th, with Brian Carber finishing 6th from 10th. Rounding out the top ten for Hyper Racing drivers were a pair of Indiana locals, Greyson Springer finished 7th, and Kole Kirkman came home 9th. Completing the Hyper teams in the feature event on Saturday were Chelby Hinton in 13th, and Alec Quiggle in 14th. Yet another fantastic showing for Hyper Racing drivers from the East Coast, and Midwest against the best competition in the nation!
