The annual Highbanks Hustle at the Southern Illinois Raceway, arguably the most iconic winged outlaw 600 event of the season saw 91 different entries enter the pit area for two nights of winged action. Hyper Racing drivers were ready for battle, and positioned to defend their crown as the last two HBH events were won by Hyper Racing Drivers, Joe B. Miller in 2022, and Johnny Boland in 2023.

Friday night saw new Hyper Racing dealer Frank Flud score the feature event victory, with former Highbanks Hustle winner Joe B. Miller scoring the 6th and final lock-in spot to Saturday’s A main.

Indiana’s Greyson Springer finished 9th, with Johnny Boland 10th, local runner Dane Sensel 11th, Kole Kirkman 13th, Aiden Purdue 14th, Scotty Milan 15th, Daniel Robinson 17th, Neal Allison 18th, and young Ryder Eigenrauch 22nd. The night unfortunately did not go as smoothly as hoped for Steven Snyder Jr as the Rising Sun, MD driver was leading his qualifier in convincing fashion in the Hyper Racing 21 entry before engine issues forced the driver pit side.

Saturday night's event was evident that the pressure was on for a $12,500 victory as the qualifying events were fast and furious! Steven Snyder Jr scored the heat and qualifier victory, and was scheduled to start 9th in the feature event. Joe B. Miller led the field to green following the dash event, and the chase was on! Joe B. had a convincing lead in the feature event, as Steven Snyder Jr was storming through the field and quickly gaining on Joe B. A caution flag flew with just ten laps remaining, setting up an epic slider fest for the lead between Joe B. Miller and Snyder Jr, with Syder Jr coming out on top and scoring the win!

The win for Steven Snyder Jr was his first at the Highbanks Hustle, and was a history-making effort. After the engine issues in the 21 car, the Jim Radney 95 was put to action, with the engine of Brian Carber, the driver scheduled to run the 95, bolted in. Brian was gracious enough to allow Snyder to run the car and engine combination and take the win. Snyder Jr became the first winner of the HBH from outside of the top six starting spots, a feat that Snyder Jr can hold all to himself until next year's event.

Hyper Racing drivers fared well in the HBH feature event with Joe B. Miller coming home in the runner up position, Frank Flud rebounding from throttle cable issues to finish 4th, and Indiana’s Kole Kirkman charging from 18th to finish 5th, picking up hard charger honors with a +13 run. Local runner Dane Sensel wound up 6th, with Aiden Leingang 8th, Johnny Boland 9th, Matt Carr 15th, Keegan Osantowski 16th, and Neal Allison 18th.
