For the first time ever, the high horsepower and high torque sounds of Outlaw engines echoed through the hills of the Clyde Martin Memorial Speedway as the first ever Powri/KKM Challenge events were held. The event was the next stop on the touring series of KKM events, which already saw Steven Snyder Jr pick up the win in the opening round in California.

Thursday night's action saw Steven Snyder Jr prove why he was the odds on favorite, setting quick time, winning his heat race, qualifier, and the feature event. But not without drama! On the opening lap of the Thursday night feature, the Snyder Jr machine abruptly shut off while leading the feature event. The crew quickly went to work in the pit area getting Snyder Jr back on track, where he would pull off an incredible 24th to first run in the event! New Hyper driver James Roselli finished in second in one of Jim Radney’s entries, with fellow Hyper drivers Tommy Kunsman Jr and Brent Shearer locking into Saturday’s $10,000 main event.

Friday night saw the return of a veteran 600 driver behind the wheel of a Hyper Chassis entry, as Alex Bright was the driver to beat in the feature event. Bright held off challenges from Lanco regular Christian Bruno to pick up the $1,000 Friday night preliminary win, locking into Saturday's finale along with Christian Bruno, and young 14 year old driver from North Carolina, Braden Jones.

Saturday night the battle was on for $10,000! Steven Snyder Jr kicked things off with the “King of the Clyde” dash victory, earning the pole for the feature event. Snyder Jr went on to lead early, but not after a fierce battle with Alex Bright, and Christian Bruno at the front of the field. As the feature event progressed, Snyder Jr held command over the field and scored his third $10,000 victory of the season over Alex Bright, and Kyle Spence on the podium, and Indiana’s Kole Kirkman in 5th! With the event taking place just a short 45 minute drive from Hyper Racing HQ, a stout field of Hyper Drivers were in attendance. Of the 24 feature event starters, 19 drivers were running a Hyper Chassis, with the top three all being Hyper Racing EVO Fuel Injection combinations!
