Veteran 600 drivers Matt Riggs Carr and Frank Flud have joined forces to become the newest dealer of Hyper Racing Chassis and Components, supplying their technical support to the Tulsa, Oklahoma area.
Frank Flud needs no introduction as one of the most accomplished and versatile 600 Micro Sprint drivers in the world, with wins across the United States and on the biggest stages like the Tulsa Shootout in 2014 and 2017. But this new venture with fellow accomplished 600 driver Matt Carr will be new territory for both as they unite to form F&M Performance and become authorized dealers of Hyper Racing equipment.
A fresh supply of parts and cars has already been sent to the newest dealers as they begin to make their mark in the Tulsa area ahead of the 2024 Tulsa Shootout and 2024 racing season. Carr recently made the switch back to Hyper Chassis in the fall of 2022, and immediately found success returning to victory lane. Flash forward to the summer of 2023 and NOW 600 Speedweek, and Frank Flud picked up his first Hyper win aboard the Matt Carr 93 entry.
While the new team and dealers are busy at work building their new X7 chassis, complete with new Lazer bodies, they both had the opportunity to try their hand aboard a pair of Jim Radney’s potent 95’s at the annual KKM Giveback Classic at the Port City Raceway.
On night one of competition, it was Matt Carr’s chance to shine, as he made the tough feature event field, and took home an eighth place finish from twenty-second, earning hard charger honors of night one.
Night two came, with the second entry and Frank Flud behind the wheel. Behind the wheel of the Radney 95 for the very first time, Flud nearly swept the night! He took top honors in every event, with the exception of time trials. A heat win, qualifier win, and preliminary $1,000 feature event win sent Flud directly to the A Main on championship Saturday.

The Saturday night finale saw Flud lead the majority of the 67 lap A main event, before having to settle for third, with now fellow Hyper/EVO driver Johnny Boland scoring another top ten run, in sixth. A great opening performance for Flud behind the wheel of a Hyper Racing X7, as he and Carr begin their new journey.
Look for Carr and Flud to have a new fleet of cars ready to go come Tulsa time as they try to make their mark on the event, grow their business, and advance the Hyper Racing brand in the Tulsa area.
