Brief Description

Walker Air Filter for EVO Fuel Injections & Other 600cc Micro Sprint

Details

When upgrading to this filter, you need to change out your airbox posts, or make yours shorter in order to provide proper seal. Use Air Box Post 605-3192 or machine yours down to 3.040"-3.050" long.

The big thing we like about this new filter is it seals much better to keep dirt out. It also does not dent as easy.

Fits the EVO airbox. Also fits many Guhl air boxes.

Urethane molded ends outperform lesser plastisol or PVC ends in temperature, longevity and seal characteristics. The Walker Filter has nice large sealing ridges to help the element seal tight against the airbox plates keeping the dirt out.

Open pleats allow less resistance than other media while giving higher dirt holding capacity. A normal paper filter has sharp pleats that can crack, letting dirt in.

For racing use and are washable and reusable.

Use and Care:
Your filter can lose its shape if dropped or handled without care.

3.5" tall x 5.5" wide x 14.25" long.

Walker Air Filter Maintenance:

  • Remove filter from engine. Gently tap filer or us a soft bristled brush to remove any loose debris.
  • Inspect filter for damage or wear.
  • Spray a liberal amount of cleaner solution on the filter and let it sit for 8 to 10 minutes to allow the cleaner to work on the grime.
  • Rinse filter gently with water. DO NOT use high pressure nozzles or a pressure washer. Normal water pressure from a sink or hose is all that is needed. Rinse filter until you no longer see soap residue rinsing from the filter.
  • Place the filter in the sun or someplace dry. You need to allow enough time for the filter to dry completely before applying the oil. NEVER use compressed air to dry filters.
  • Once the filter is dry, apply the filter oil. This is done by either applying a bead of oil around the circumference of the filter about 1/4 way down from each edge or spraying an even coat of oil on all parts of the element.
  • Let the filter sit for approximately 1 hour and the oil should have wicked through the filter to cover the un-oiled areas. If there are areas where the oil didn't cover well, put a few drops or spray in that area to complete oiling.
  • Your filter is now ready to re-install on the engine.
