The next leg of the POWRi/KKM Challenge series ventured slightly west from the US-24 Speedway to the high banks of the Southern Illinois Raceway for the next event in the multi race outlaw wingless series of events.

Thursday night Steven Snyder Jr kicked off the night by setting overall quick time in time trials, setting himself up nicely for the remaining events of the evening. Through heats, and qualifiers, Snyder Jr was high point man and started on the pole of the night's preliminary feature event.

Snyder Jr went on to collect the $1,000 preliminary feature win and lock into Saturday’s finale event. Fellow Hyper Racing driver, and one part of F&M Performance Frank Flud finished in third and also locked into Saturday. Other Hyper Racing drivers in the field were Daniel Robinson who finished fifth, Cole Tinsley in eighth, Hayden Wise in 12th, Darren Brown 13th, Joe B Miller 15th, Blayne Buntin 16th, and Todd Kirkman in 20th.

Young North Carolina driver Hayden Wise, who has also been traveling across the U.S. this season, picked up hard charger honors moving from 22nd to 12th in the feature event on Thursday.

Friday night saw yet another Hyper Racing/EVO Fuel Injection driver set quick time with Brian Carber picking up the award, setting himself and Hyper Racing up for another strong night of action.

Defending his big win at the Terry Sprague Memorial only one week prior, Kole Kirkman added yet another win to his season tally, and locked into Saturday’s main event. Hyper Racing employee, and winner of KKM Indiana, Johnny Boland finished in second, also locking into Saturday. Completing the field for Hyper Racing on Friday were: Brian Carber in sixth, Greyson Springer seventh, James Kelly 11th, Colton Robinson 12th, Autumn Criste 13th, LeRoy Carley 15th, and Nathan Rector 20th.

Saturday night came the big dance for $10,000, with another stout field of drivers, among the nations best, battling on the High Banks of SIR.

Steven Snyder Jr won the “King of the Hill” round robin event to set the first eight spots of the feature event and lead the field to green. Snyder Jr never looked back and ran away from the field to score another $10,000 victory on the year, and his third finale event of the season with the KKM Challenge series.

Indiana’s Kole Kirkman finished second, with Hyper driver Frank Flud in fifth completing the top five. Johnny Boland sixth, Greyson Springer seventh, Darren Brown eighth, Joe B Miller 16th, Brian Carber 21st, and Daniel Robinson 24th completed the field for Hyper Racing drivers. California driver Darren Brown, who pilots a Hyper Racing mount for Colorado based dealer and owner Brad Ernst, was the night's Hard Charger with a +16 run in the feature.

Up next for the KKM Challenge series is the inaugural visit to the Coles County Speedway, on September 4th-7th.
