Once again the annual Hyper Racing 600 Speedweek, Presented by Performance Electronics, roared to action during the height of summer heat across three states in the Northeast. The best of the best talent from all over the East Coast and United States came together for seven nights of hard fought action, with $2,500 on the line to win each night, a $3,000 championship points award, and a $10,000 finale pay day at the Clyde Martin Memorial Speedway to complete the week. Christian Bruno took home his second 600 Speedweek Championship belt at weeks end after a week's worth of hard fought racing for high points honors.
Things got underway on Sunday night in the series return to the Spirit Auto Center Speedway in Swedesboro, NJ, where Connor Gross grabbed his first ever 600 Speedweek victory with a pair of 21’s nipping at his heels in the late stages in the form of Tommy Kunsman Jr and Steven Snyder Jr who could do nothing with Gross for the feature event win. With Gross, Kunsman, and Snyder, all being on the podium, it was a clean sweep of Hyper Racing X7 Chassis, with EVO Fuel Injection power.
From Spirit, the series took a journey south to the state of Delaware as the Airport Speedway was included on the 600 Speedweek schedule for just the second time. A thrilling feature event left the fans in the stands and the pit area amazed as Lafayette, Indiana’s Greyson Springer picked up his first career 600 Speedweek win in his first ever venture to the Airport Speedway. Previous night's winner Connor Gross found himself as the runner up in second, with young James Roselli charging through the field on the highside to complete the podium making a second Hyper Chassis podium sweep.
Tuesday night's show took a long journey north to the Greenwood Valley Action Tracks, who completed their first show with the series since 2022 with the 2023 version lost to the weather man. A dominant performance from Tommy Kunsman Jr earned the Bethlehem, PA driver another Speedweek win for his career over Briggs Danner and Steven Snyder Jr.
Wednesday night things looked as though they could roll right along with the rest of the week, but unfortunately mother nature had some different plans. 98 cars entered the pit area on Wednesday at Action Track USA before heavy rains came in the evening and rained-out the program during the second heat race.
Linda’s Speedway was up next on the track list for Thursday as another stellar field of drivers filled the pit area of the long standing micro sprint facility. When all was said and done, it was Hyper Racing Shock Lab’s young Alex Ruppert who scored his first career 600 Speedweek win. Runners up were a pair of former 600 Speedweek champions, Christian Bruno and Steven Snyder Jr, making for another Hyper Racing, X7 Chassis podium sweep.
The McGrew Bid Motoplex saw its first EVER action Friday night as the brand new track located just down the street from Hyper Racing opened its gates for the very first time. An astonishing 107 600’s filled the pit area for the opening night of action, and 600 Speedweek event, where Connor Gross found victory lane for the second time in his career with Speedweek and as the first ever 600 winner at McGrew Bid.
