Our first Hyper Racing Dealer Spotlight of 2023 hails from Benton, Illinois. Daniel Robinson of Big Fast knows Mike Dicely from the NMMA days. Daniel is a friend of the racing community and is sought after for support and advice from so many racers already, so it’s only natural that he decided to take the plunge and become a dealer. He has teamed up with Jake Betts to support and manage the racers from the Midwest.

Robinson/Betts & Big Fast will be part of our R&D team on the new Hyper Racing Junior Sprint program, set to launch in September 2023. 

We caught up with Daniel for a quick Q&A:

What services do you offer?

Big Fast offers a Driver Development program, parts and service.

Wayne County Speedway, Southern Illinois Raceway

How long have you been in the industry?

I’ve been involved in the Micro Sprint racing world for 30+ years.

My dad bought our first Hyper in the spring of 2005. We won the inaugural POWRi championship that season. I first watched Mike race in around 2001, and met him at the NMMA national races in our area.

What intrigued you to become a Hyper Racing parts dealer? 

The support offered by Hyper Racing is unlike any in the industry along with my past success in Hyper racecars. I felt confident I could offer the support needed to sell Hyper Racing products.

How did you come up with the name Big Fast? 

I always use the phrase "big...". For example, sometimes I make my wife “big mad” or I come home from the races “big broke”! 

Jake’s son is racing Junior Sprints and he had an interest in learning more about cars and the racing industry. He is also a smart business person so with that all combined it became a smart decision to combine our talents.
